A respected professional, Laira is passionate about facilitating people to recognise and build on their own excellence. Known for her clarity and warmth, Laira has taught Monty's principles and philosophy to a range of students both Flag is Up Farms, California, the home of Monty Roberts, and in Northamptonshire where she is based.
While studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) at BeeLeaf Training Institute, Laira discovered the work of internationally acclaimed horse trainer Monty Roberts and Equine Guided Psychotherapy (EGP). Exploring the connections between EGP, Monty’s methods and Systemic NLP was the catalyst that led to her traveling to the USA to study Monty's methods in depth. Through working with many different horse personalities, Laira continues to explore the many subtle layers of communication and consciousness that these awesome creatures are capable of.

Harriet Hanmer
Harriet is a recognized expert in the field of Equine Guided Learning and has worked with a variety of client groups ranging chief executives of blue chip companies to children with facial disfigurements. Clients include Apple, Ebay, Paypal, Royal Mail, The Prison Service, RBS, an Arab women’s leadership development programme in Dubai, and a similar programme for adolescent girls.
Her background includes trainings in cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, psychosynthesis depth psychotherapy, substance abuse, forensic mental health. She has presented at conferences including the industry training provider, EAGALA, and the University of Exeter Leadership Conference. She has trained with first and second generation practitioners including Barbara Rector, Linda Kohanov, Franklin Levinson and Leigh Shambo.
She has particular experience of working with vulnerable adults having spent 8 years working as a probation officer, specializing in those with mental illnesses.
Harriet is known for creating a safe, holding context for clients, and for her sensitive, light-touched approach to serious issues. She is particularly interested in combining mindfulness awareness with Equine Guided Learning. Her horsemanship experience includes a background in competitive riding, training with Monty Roberts and in Natural Horsemanship approaches to rehabilitate horses that have ‘gone wrong’.
